Description

The weeksdays Daily Desk Calendar 2027 comes from weeksdays, the lifestyle brand and online shop created by stylist Masako Ito as part of Hobonichi. Its theme is everyday living — clothing, food and the home — along with all the little things that don't quite fit into any of those three categories but still make life more enjoyable. This is the calendar's fifth year as a weeksdays item.

The 2027 edition covers all 365 days. Weekdays and Saturdays feature photographs taken by Masako Ito herself, while the cover and holidays feature photographs by Suguru Ariga, who shoots nearly all of the weeksdays visuals, styled by Ito. Each image is printed beside a simple date and day of the week. So that you never tire of turning the pages, Ito has decided herself which photograph falls on which day of which month, and simply leafing through it you can feel the seasons turn.

Each page is Polaroid-sized, and the photographs are printed at roughly the same scale as a Polaroid. The paper is thin, yet the fresh block is a generous three centimetres thick. Set it down just as it is, or prop it upright with the included backing card, which has a cut-out that folds into a stand.

Peel off each page as the day passes and give it a second life. Decorate your techo with it, write a memo on the back, use it as a small notepad, pin your favourites to the wall, or stick one on a jar of preserves to note the day you made them. It is like having a small photo book of Masako Ito's world woven into your daily life, with something to look forward to every morning as you wonder which picture today will bring.

Why You'll Love It

  • A new picture every morning: There are 365 photographs, each placed on its day by Masako Ito herself, so you never turn to the same view twice and always have a small reason to look forward to tomorrow.
  • Stands up on its own: The sturdy grey backing card folds into a stand, so the block sits upright on your desk with no fuss and no extra hardware.
  • Pages too good to throw away: The light, thin sheets peel away one at a time and slip straight into your techo, onto a wall or round a jar — yesterday is never simply binned.
